Lyon Agro is Ghana’s premier producer of organic soybean derivatives. Using organic and deforestation-free soybeans, our expeller-pressed soybean meal and triple-filtered oil products are processed in compliance with UFAS regulations, making them best-in-class. Since our inception in 2022, we guarantee top quality products for our customers, primarily in the organic cattle, poultry and fish-feed industries.
About us
Lyon Agro supports over 500 farmers across 5,000 acres of Ghana’s Northern region to grow organic soybeans. We provide farmers with inputs, sophisticated machinery, and improved market access, thus increasing farmer incomes, food security, and livelihoods.
Each month, Lyon Agro processes 400 MT of organic soybeans into top-quality organic soya meal and oil products. We ensure that our farmers nurture and protect their soils for future generations by prohibiting the use of harmful chemicals and implementing deforestation practices. We envision a sustainable future for agriculture, one that also empowers our farmers in Ghana - especially our women farmers. Our processing facilities in the Western region adhere to strict international quality standards.

Our Products
Organic Soya Cake
Our organic soya cake is derived by extruding dry organic soybean seeds at elevated temperature which is then expeller pressed. The soya cake is rich in protein content and primarily used in animal feeds.
Organic Soya Oil
Our organic soya oil is triple filtrated after the soybean seeds have been expeller pressed. The product is produced according to HACCP certification to the codex standards, NOP & EEC 834/2007
Organic Soybeans
Our organic soybeans are cultivated with the best practices from farmers we directly support in the Northern Region of Ghana. Our soybeans are non GMO, cleaned and dried with high protein and fat content.

In keeping with our mission to safeguard Ghana’s vital ecosystems, we stand firmly against deforestation and the use of harmful chemicals to facilitate our farming needs. The strategic location of our port in Tema allows us to deliver our products with shorter shipping times and lower CO2 emissions than our competitors.

Lyon Agro also practices fair trade, ensuring our farmers are well-trained, receive consistent and fair prices, and continuous access to end-markets.
Our Certifications
All of our products are certified organic by Control Union which covers the EU and USDA organic standards. The majority of our products are shipped internationally, predominently to our customers in the EU and North America.
We can supply all of our products on FOB terms to our local port in Tema, or arrange the shipping to your port of choice globally.
